WELSH FRUSTRATION FOR JUNIOR BOYS
As the Super One Series draws to an end, it was off to Glan-Y-Gors in Wales for the penultimate round of the championship last weekend. Oliver Bearman, Tom Edgar and Douglas Bolger were all in action at the North Wales circuit, determined to come away with a strong haul of points.

In Timed Qualifying, Lewis Gilbert of KR Sport posted the fastest time, with Alessandro Ceronetti 2nd, and Matthew Hudson 3rd. Bearman was the highest placed Fusion driver, down in 12th, whilst team mate Edgar was 14th and Bolger in 18th.
With the rain continuing to fall over the course of the weekend, Gilbert took victory in Heat 1, ahead of team mate Clayton Ravenscroft and Hudson in 3rd. Edgar gained 2 positions to finish 12th, however Bearman picked up a nose cone penalty, costing him 10 seconds, demoting him from 6th to 17th, whilst Bolger finished down in 19th.
Ceronetti took the honours in Heat 2, ahead of Hudson and Dragan Pinsent. Bearman stayed trouble free, as he made up 5 places to 7th, Edgar climbed 2 spots to secure 12th, however Bolger wasn’t so fortunate, as he picked up a 10 second penalty for a dropped nose cone, resulting in him finishing down in 27th.
Hudson remained on top form, as he took the win in the Pre-Final, followed by Ravenscroft and Ceronetti. Edgar was the highest climber of the Fusion drivers, as he gained 3 positions to 9th. Bearman wasn’t so fortunate as he was caught up in an incident dropping him to 16th, whilst Bolger picked up his second nose cone penalty of the weekend, demoting him to 25th, after originally finishing up in 20th.
In the Final, it was Ravenscroft who was victorious ahead of Hudson and Ceronetti. Bearman had a good run through to 10th, making up 6 places, followed by team mate Edgar in 11th. Bolger made amends for his 2 heat penalties, to come away with 18th, also earning him the highest placed rookie.
