FRUSTRATING WEEKEND FOR JUNIORS AT PFI

Class Junior X30

The Fusion trio of Tom Edgar, Zac Meakin and Joshua Mclean all suffered frustrating weekends at Round 2 of the TVKC Winter Series last weekend. All three drivers showed strong speed throughout the weekend, but were unfortunate not to come away with a stronger results. In Qualifying, Edgar (10th) pipped team mate Meakin (11th) to round out the top 10, whilst McLean followed just behind in 14th. In a tricky 1st Heat where the track was drying every lap, Edgar gained 4 positions to 6th, whilst Meakin led home McLean to 10th and 11th. In Heat 2, Edgar again made up several positions to bring home another 6th, cementing a top 5 start for the Final, with McLean narrowly missing out on the top 10, starting 11th, however an incident in Heat 2 for Meakin caused retirement and a P20 start for his Final. Come the Final, McLean crossed the line in 8th however was awarded a 5 second penalty after the race for a dropped nose cone, demoting him to 14th, which promoted both Edgar and Meakin a position higher to 10th and 11th.
