In a wet Timed Qualifying on Saturday, Georgi Dimitrov carried on his form from the previous weekend as he took Pole Position, ahead of Edgar and KR Sport’s Oliver Bearman. The ever improving Douglas Bolger posted the 7th fastest time, ahead of Alicia Barrett in 8th.
On Sunday, conditions were dry and bright, and so was the result in the first heat, as Dimitrov took the win, ahead of Alexander Walker and Bearman. Bolger finished in 7th, but was awarded a 10 second nose cone penalty, demoting him to 12th, ahead of Barrett in 13th. Edgar was caught up in an incident during the race, and was unable to finish, classifying him in 20th. Dimitrov sealed Pole Position for the A Final with another victory in the second heat, ahead of Lewis Thompson and Bearman in 3rd. Edgar stayed incident free to finish up 4th, whilst Barrett had a better run to come home in 6th, ahead of Bolger in 11th.
In the Final, it was Nelson King who was victorious, after Bearman had originally crossed the line 1st. However, a nose cone penalty was enforced, adding 10 seconds to his time. Edgar made up 10 places to come home in 2nd, ahead of Thompson in 3rd. Barrett was 5th, after Dimitrov (7th) was also handed a penalty for his nose cone being in as well. Bolger was handed his 2nd nose cone penalty of the weekend, after originally crossing the line 15th, however a further 10 seconds were added to his time, resulting in a 19th place finish.
