In Heat 1, Fusion driver Cian Shields took the first victory of the day, ahead of Ivan Lomliev and Rashan Chigorimbo. Joshua McLean was 6th, ahead of Zac Meakin who has settled in nicely to his new surroundings in the team. Ian Aguilera suffered a nose cone penalty but still finished 11th, after very little experience driving in the rain. Edgar finished 17th after she also picked up a nose cone penalty.
Aaron Walker held on from McLean in heat 2, whilst Lomliev clinched the final podium spot. Edgar bounced back from her heat 1 disappointment to finish 7th, whilst Meakin (10th) and Sheilds (12th – nose cone) and Aguilera (14th) all made up positions.
Edgar was victorious in the final heat of the day, after a close battle with Josh Rowledge and Harvey Riby. McLean made up 13 places to finish 6th, closely followed by Aguilera in 9th, Shields in 13th and Meakin in 16th.
Pole Position went to Lomliev, and what followed was a very exciting race for the neutrals. With the lead changing several times, it was McLean who eventually broke clear and looked to have done enough, before making a mistake and running off the track, allowing the rest of the pack to close up. Shields took the lead but an audacious move from Rowledge took Shields out of the race with heavy damage, something which later cost Rowledge a DSQ from the meeting. So it was Lomliev who rubbed his hands together and picked up the pieces from the carnage that unfolded in front. He held on from Walker in 2nd and Edgar who kept her nose clean to finish 3rd. McLean recovered to 4th, whilst Meakin finished in 6th. Aguilera suffered another nose penalty demoting him down to 17th.
